The Hon. W. A. Veitdh arrived in Wanganui yesterday and was present at the Anzac Memorial Service as representative of the Government. He will return to Wellington on Tuesday.
Rev. Wilkinson was entertained by St. Agnes' Church and Tayforth friends on a recent evening when, on the eve of his departure for Opotiki, all met to bid him farewell. (During the evening Mr I. Mac Neil presented Rev. Wilkinson with a well-filled wallet, the recipient suitably acknowledging the gift. A very dainty supper was provided by the ladies.
Guests at Foster’s Hotel at present include: Mr A. Hughes, P. Truocot?,, 11. A. Morris, J. Bright, A. W. Thomson. Burns, Butler, C. B. Greer, L. M. Greer’ C. Pearce, Roberts (Wellington); Mr Aldis, H. P. Macguire, H. Marchant (Auckland); A. Strang, Abraham and J. C. Nicholson (New Plymouth); Innes (South Canterbury); C. S. Lucas (Hawera), and Dr. J. W. Manhannhardt (Germany).
