ON VIEW AT THE SHOW

EIDE’S NEW CAMP TENT With the approach of the summer weather —and daylight savng—many motorists are already planning what they intend to do >n this season’s motoring {our. As a tent comprises one of the most mportant items of tourer’s equipment, the new patent camping tent which Mr Eide has produced to meet all the desired requirements for the pleasure-seeking motorist is certain to mPet with a strong demand. The eamper requires the following strong feaures about a tent, viz., standing room, easy and quick erection and minimum space—these features are strong points of Mr Eide’s new tent. A tall person can stand anywhere inside without stooping—it can be taken off the car and erected within four minutes, and it can be folded up and packed into a space measuring 3ft. 3in. x Ift. 3in. Another big improvement on the usual camping tent is the absence of guy ropes. This tent has completely revolutionised camp tents and will be a “winner” this season on all motor-camping sites. Although new tent features are obtained with this new design, the price is only that of the usual good quality tent, For this reason alone it should prove a popular investment to all. to the ease with which it is erected and the few minutes required to do so, it will be found a very handy addition to the household during the warm weather. The residents of Wanganui and surrounding districts are invited to inspect this ideal tent which is being displayed at the Show. This firm of Eide and Co. are always busy. They have already supplied this year the New Zealand Government over 4000 tents. When large contracts such as this are given to loeal firms, it speaks well for the quality of local made goods. Eide and Co. employ a staff of 30, and they are kept in continuous employment, Everything or anything made of canvas this firm manufactures, from a shirt, to a storm try sail, and many hundreds of cow covers are delivered each season. Between 4000 and 5000 different, designs of tents can be made, in faet there is a tent for every purpose and to any size desired. For the next few months an extra busy time is anticipated mak- , ing stocks of Mr Eide’s new camp tent. Already large orders are to hand and the demand is steadily increasing. Don’t fail to inspect this tent while visiting the show.
