KINGSFORD SMITH’S PLANS. [ Australian Pxess Assn. $ NEW YORK, Oct. 1. Squadron-Leader Kingsford Smith conferred with the Wright oflicials today and told them that tho SOutcrn Cross with three engines, averaged about 32 gallons per hour on the transpacific flight and ho estimated that he could make the England-United States flight on 1550 gallons in 50 hours. He stated that he could easily rise with such a load. He added that he intends to use a two-and-a-haif mile runway at the Royal airfield at Cranwell to take off for New York.
