OBITUARY
MR FREDERICK MOORE OLD WAIRARAPA RESIDENT With the death of Mr Frederick Moore passes away a prominent figure in most of the local bodies of the Wairarapa district for many years. The late Mr Moore was born at Craydon, Surrey, England, and come to New Zealand in 1854 at the age of 6 years. He later took up farming on the East Coast, He also settled in the Wainarapa and, for some time was president of the Masterton Agricultural and Pastoral Association. He came to Wanganui in 1906 and bought the R'atanui homestead at which place he resided until his death. He bought the Lismore Estate and also the estate of J. Peat at Nukumaru which he held at'the time of his death. He leaves a widow, a daughter, Mrs Broad, of Wanganui, two sons, Messrs U. .F. and W. J. Moore.
