SALES or THE WEEK Dalgety and Co. Ltd., report on the sales of the week as under:— * ‘There was a small entry of stock at the Marton sale on Monday, September 23. Quotations: Light fat ewes 23s 9d, springing heifers £ll. “There was a moderate entry of stock at the Mangaweka sale on Thursday. Quotations: Fat ewes 27s 3d, yearling heifers £3, £4, £5 Is, dairy cows £7, fat cows £7 15s, crossbred heifers, r.w. P.A bull £7, P.A. cross cows r.w. P.A. bull £ll, a line of 53 Hereford cows r.w. P.A. bulls realised £ll. “ There was a very fair entry of sheep and a small yarding of cattle at the Feilding sale on Friday. There was keen competition for sheep, all of which changed hands. Quotations: Fat hoggets 24s lOd, 257 6d, 28s 2d, 28s sd, 345, fat ewes 25s 9d to 275, fat shorn ewes 20s 2d, fat wethers 365, small b.f. hoggets 14s 6d to 17s 6d, b.f. hoggets 19s, 22s 6d, 23s lOd, ewe hoggets 25s 4d, 35s 3d, wether hoggets 23s 6d, 24s 6d, ewe and lambs 35s 3d, springing heifers £9 ss, £lO 10s, empty cows £2 10s, £3 5s prime heavy cows £l4 12s 6d.”
