BOWLING

INVITATION TO DOMINION WESTERN AUSTRALIAN TOUR CARNIVAL AT PERTH The Western Australian Bowling Association, Perth, has sent an invitation to the Dominion of New Zealand Bowling Association to send a team of New Zealand bowlers to their Centennial Carnival, which, will open in Perth on October 31, and is expected to last about ten days. On receipt of the invitation the Dominion of N.Z. Bowling Association sent a reply to the effect that it would do its best to ensure that New Zealand should have representation at the carnival. New Zealand players who desire to make the trip are invited to send in their names to the secretary of their centre on or before September 20, or entries may be sent direct to Perth as they close there on September 28. Further details of the carnival may be obtained from the honorary secretary of the Wanganui centre, Mr C. H. Clinkard.
