CAUGHT IN WHIRLPOOL
RIVER STEAMER CAPSIZES OVER SIXTY PERSONS DROWNED. (Sun Cable.) Receive July 22, 11 p.m. DELHI, July 22. At Chanlot, Punjab, a serious drowning tragedy occurred when a boat carrying 100 persons got into a whirlpool in the Chi enab river, and capsized. Only 35 were saved. Passengers included several landowners carrying land revenue for deposit with the Treasury.
