Sir Thomas Lipton, through the Royal Ulster Yacht Club, has challenged the New York Club to race at the Sandy Hook urse ’or the America Cup. for which he is building a new yacht. Shamrock V., which must cross the Atlantic to compete. Sir Thomas Lipton, despite his age—79—keeps evergreen like his emeraldpainted yacht. His ambit io. is to regain the America Cup for Britain.
