THE STOCK EXCHANGE
STATISTICAL INFORMATION [ Special “Chronicle” Service ] WELLINGTON, April 17. The complete lack of statistical information relative to the .Stock Exchange in New Zealand is exercising the secretary of the Wellington Exchange, Mr C. W. Carroll, and he is urging that this should be remedied. Stockbrokers are reluctant to give information to rival brokers, but Mr Carroll proposes that each week a secret return of stocks sold shall be made by each broker, every precaution being taken to guard the information, and that a monthly statement of the turnover of ’change shall be made.
