An unprecedented incident in the history of the Nex\ r Zealand Farmers’ Union occurred at the annual meeting of the, Rangiora branch held on Saturday evening, xvhen the business xvas brought to an end by the resignation of the nexx-ly-elected executive as a protest against the large pmcentage of members’ subscriptions demanded by the Dominion and Provincial Councils.
