The \ listors went in I first and compiled a score of 278 Wanganui followed and, when the adjournment was made until yesterday, had lost one wicket for 42 runs. Play was interrupted yesterday on account of the rain, and it was not until th • afternoon that the local players were dismissed for a total of 274, making the match a drawn one.
