Mesdamos Lawrie and Fulton, who had won the buttons in live consecutive games, were beaten by Mesdaiues Ballingall aud Rowling, 26 —22. B Weekly Doubles (Silver Buttons). Mesdaiues Wcdderspoon and Rankin beat Mrs Savage aud Mr Wedderspoon (1A) 26-12. A Championship Singles. Mrs Fulton beat Mrs Lawrie, 26 —9. Mrs Tingcy beat Mrs Blennerhassett, 26—24. B Championship Singles. Mr Pilkington beat Miss Paul, 26—9. Mrs Simpson beat Mrs Rankin, 26 —14. A Handicap Singles. Mrs Jarvic beat Mrs Kennedy, 26—8. Mrs Price beat Mrs Egan, 26 —9. Mrs Harle beat Mrj Sheilds, 26—13. Mrs Falconer beat Mrs Pauli. 26 —13.
A Handicap Doubles. Mesdaiues Blennerhassett and McDougall boat Mesdaiues Harle and Price 26 —21. A and B Handicap Double-:. Mesdanics Fulton and Newton beat Mesdamos Tingcy and Tilley, 26—19. The c lawns wore closed from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Thursday out of respect for the memory of the late Mr W. G. Bassett.
