To the Editor:
THE HOSPITAL
Sir, —The thanks of the community are uue to the .“Chromcie’’ for the stand it has taken on hospital matters, which, before long, will need a cornmissipn of some kind to investigate the Board’s past methods of governing the institution.
Your correspondent, “Enquirer,” in last Friday’s issue, asks a number of questions which indicate how the ratepayers’ money has been absolutely thrown away in the running of the Xray department at th*? hospital. The fact that it is no secret that there is considerable friction at the hospital, together with the grossly extravagant way the Hospital Board carries out its functions, renders an expert inquiry absolutely necessary into the whole of the Board’s administration generally. The Board’s extravagant methods have been the subject of orrespondence in the local press for some years past, so that it is useless to expect any change for the better from the present members. I would suggest that our worthy Alayor call a public meeting of the tax-payers of the city to go into hospital matters generally, and let “more light” into hospital management. EX-PATIENT.
