COURTS’ TIME WASTED ON TRIVIAL CASES

CHANGE OF SYSTEM ADVOCATED BY S.M. AUCKLAND, Dec. 6. Further emphatic support of the suggested system of fining motorists for trivial offences by tagging their care and demanding them to report to the traffic department, was given by Mr F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Police Court to-day. “There is fur too much time wasted by the courts with these small cases,” said Air Hunt. “There is no doubt some system will have to be introduced which will cut out the courts. These tail light and parking offences could easily be dealt with in a far more expeditious manner. Of course, the Act will have to be amended, but that can easily be done, and the sooner the better. ’ ’
