TO-DAY’S RECIPE

Henley Cake.—Three eggs, J cup sugar, 1 cup flour, 4 teaspoon spice, 1 teaspoon cinamon, 2 tablespoons golden syrup, butter, l.t teaspoons baking powder, 1 teaspoon ginger. Beat eggs and sugar well together, then add golden syrup, then the flour in which the ginger, spice, cinnamon and baking powder have been mixed, lastly tho butter (melted). Mix well, put into two well buttered sandwich tins, and bake in moderate oven for 20 minutes. When cold join with butter and icing sugar filling. Tee the top and sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
