SOLDIERS WOUNDED DURING MANOEUVRES
CAVALRY’S MOCK CHARGE TURNS TO GRIM REALITY [ Australian Press Assn. 1 WARSAW, Sept. 13. Forty soldiers were wounded during army manoeuvres near Cracow. The charging cavalry, instead of pulling up at .100 yards distance, dashed into the infantry, who were obliged to use bayonets in self-defence. The infantry commander l.ad to order the release of gas, which checked the cavalry onslaught.
