MEXICAN TELEPHONES

LINKED WITH EUROPE, MEXICO CITY, Sept. 3. With the inauguration of telephonic communication between Mexico and London and other cities in Europe, the Republic has taken another step toward complete international communication bv wire and wireless. It is now possible to talk by, telephone from Mexico City and other important cities of this country, with Europe, the United States, Canada and Cuba. Telephone connections are rapidly being made between all the important cities and towns in central and eastern Mexico, and work is being carried out to link the western states by telephone with the rest of the country. A telephone system which practically covers the entire State of Hidalgo has been virtually completed, the Department of Communications announces.
