WAITAKI AND OTAGO HONOURS DIVIDED BY SENIORS AND JUNIORS [ Per Pres* Association. 1 OAMAiRU, July 4. The annual fixture between the first and second fifteens of the Waitaki and Otago Boys’ High Schools was played here this afternoon under ideal weather conditions. Waitaki Juniors defeated Otago by 11 points to nil, tries being scored by Webb (2) and McAllum, the latter’s being converted by Evans. In the senior game Otago drew first blood. Salt scoring a good try in the corner. Statham equalised for Waitaki with a brilliant try, but before half-time W. Milles sold the dummy, sending Wilson over for a splendid try, the spell ending: Otago 6, Waitaki 3. On the resumption Waitaki equalised with a try, and after the bell had rung tor “no side” Abbotson dived over in the corner amid great enthusiasm, gi,ing Otago the victory by 9 points to 6.
