A taxi war inaugurated yesterday continues unabated, and passengers are being carried at two-thirds of the taximeter records and less. “It appears to be a Wellington versus Auckland dispute,” said one ol the parties interested, ‘‘and my prediction is that Auckland must win.” A Wellington taxi company recently placed a large number of cars on the Auckland thoroughfares. “If the present war continues,” he said, ” the small man whom the larger companies have always previously endeavoured to work with will be forced to the wall.”
