Hunterville Club A meeting of the management committee of the Hunterville Club was held on Monday night, Dr. Mitchell presiding. Also present: Messrs Higgins, Shanley, Simons, Porter, Bowick, Guthrie, Bull, Fox, Whyte, Finn and Simpson. The Rugby Union notified* that the thirds competition had been extended to five rounds. Mr Shanley reported that arrangements were well in hand for the dance on Tuesday next. A Jackies ’ committee .had arranged for supper. Mr Whyte pointed out that the thirds match on Saturday next would need to start at 1.15 p.m. Mr Manley forwarder! a medal won some time ago by K. Cunningham. Mr Simons thanked members of the committee on behalf of the thirds for refund of fares. PERSONAL Mr W. S. Glenn, M.P., was a visitor to Hunterville at tie end of the week. Mr and Mrs T. Stewart, of Ohingaiti, leave Australia on Friday next on their homeward trip. Mr A. D. Littlejohn, who has been butter-maker at the Rata Dairy Factory for some time past has been appointed manager of the Ngatipourou Dairy Co. at Ruatoria, East Coast. GENERAL NEWS Hinemoa (Halcombe) Hockey Cluo defeated’ Rata at Bata recently by one goal to nil. Miss McKee (Presbyterian Women’s Missionary Union) took the service in the Hunterville Presbyterian Ghurch on Sunday.
