MAIL ROBBERIES
THE LEVIATHAN CASE SCOTLAND YARD BUSY [ British Official Wireless. ] RUGBY, June 24. Scotland Y’ard and the Criminal Investigation Department are engaged in inquiries regarding the discovery, made yesterday, that mails landed at South? ampton from the Leviathan had been tampered with, and that notes and securites were missing from certain registered 1 utters. All the indications point to the mails having been tampered with before they reached Southampton, and probably before leaving the office of despatch.
