Roc is contemplating a machine able to fly at a considerable altitude at a hitherto not dreamt of speed. It is rumoured to be 1000 miles an hour,” said Sir Charles Wakefield at the Savoy Hotel dinner at which the Air League entertained Mr Roe in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the carrying out ot the first flight in England.
