Mr Hubert Carter leaves to-day to perform in “Hiawatha” for the Royal Christchurch Musical Society.

The Minister of Public Works, the Hon. K. S. Williams, is expected to arrive at Pipiriki, on a tour of inspection of the bush roads, about the middle of this week. From Pipiriki he will conic down the river to Wanganui.

His Excellency the Governor-General, Sir Charles Fergusson, and Lady Alice Fergusson are expected to arrive in Wanganui on an unofficial visit on Saturday. From Wangnaui they will leave for an official visit to Taranaki.
