Important developments are expected in connection with wireless communication. Marconi is completing experiments directed towards simultaneous transmission of telephony and telegraphy by the trans-Atlantic beam ap[jaratus, which operates two high spec.'! telegraph circuits simultaneously ami one duplex telephone circuit. The same transmitter and aerial, and one wave length are used for all three circuits. The date of installation will be setafter discussion with the Post Office authorities. Experiments resulted in hearing perfectly, speakers in Canada an.l in England despite the simultaneous telegraph service.
