SEAFIELD LADIES’ CLUB DRAW FOR TUESDAY’S MATCH The following is the draw for the foursomes match to be played by the Seafield Ladies Golf Club on Tuesday next: — Mrs Goldsbury and Miss Wood v. Mrs Wikinson and Mrs E. Wills. Mrs Hassall and Miss C. Jackson v. Mrs McArtncy and Miss R. Jackson. Mrs McDonald and Miss Doig v. Mrs Hawkins and Mrs Pritchard. Mrs Wills and Mrs Runnerstrum v. Miss McDonald and Miss Henry. Mrs Williams and Miss Richardson v. Miss Hogan and Mrs Cuthbertson. Mrs Sharp and Miss Higginbottom v. Miss Calver and Mrs Mcwburh. Mrs Eadio and Mrs Hackshaw v. Mrs Watson and Mrs Corrigan. OH! THOSE GOLFERS RUGBY NOT THE ONLY LURE CALL OF BRASSIE AND CLEEK Oh! Rugby in some people’s views is young New Zealand’s sole delight, but as to-day I scan the news I realise they’re nut quite right. Though budding All Blacks here abound, and barrackers a countless horde, yet here and there a man is found who is by Rugby merely bored. He may from Soccer get his fun, or follow League a code demure, or on a long cross-coun-try run delight great hardships to 3ndure. There is a host of hockeyites, while winter tennis finds support, and many funny plus-foured sights find on the links exciting sport. Oh! Yes, of sportsmen who decline to hear King Rugby’s siren call but strike out on another line, the golfers surely lead them all. With brassie, driver, spoon, and deck, and other clubs inspiring fear, they Belmont Links or Seafield seek, and fiercely smite a tiny sphere, i their antics would a cat amuse, as in the bunkers they perform. Though cold the days, the words they use are hot enough to keep them warm. —With apologies to “Sinbad” of the Christchurch Star.
