Miss Picklord, with her leading man, Charles Rogers; her director, lay lor; the cameraman, Charles Posher,• and a group of assistants boarded a big Honolulu liner in Los -kiigelrs Harbour, and “shot’’ her scenes as the steamer went down the channel and out into the Pacific. A tugboat was to pick up the coir pany somewhere off Catalina Island ami bring them back, but as the liner neared the appointed rendezvous a dense fog descended, making it impossible to locate the tug. Constant whistling of albacore fishboats made it impossible to recognise the tugboat’s signal. Finally, however, the tug suddenly loomed out of the fog, having been able to distinguish the steamer hoarse whistle above the din of the tooting albacore fleet.
