PARCEL OF RADIUM LANDED IN SECRECY. MELBOURNE, April 17. When the Commonwealth liner Esperance Bay arrived this morning none on board except the master and the purser knew that £55,000 worth of radium was stored in the bullion locker. This consignment was portion of £lOO,OOO worth of radium which the Federal Government is importing for cancer treatment. There were 14 packages, six of which contained radium, thc remainder containing valve accessories. The utmost secrecy was observed In getting the radium ashore.
