GENERAL SYNOD

ANGLICAN CLERGY MEET THE MISSION CALL. [ Per Press Association 1 WELLINGTON, April 20. The twenty-fourth General Synod was continued on Saturday. The Bishop of Nelson submitted the triennial report of the New Zealand Anglican Board of Missions which stated that the church had 64 workers in the field and 23 labouring among tho Maoris. The Board pleaded to the clergy for greater enthusiasm in sounding the mission call. They wanted a more definite and methodical method of contributing to the work of tho church. The report paid a high tribute to the Revs. Redgrave and Long for their services. The report was considered in committee. The Synod dealt with the draft of • bill for submission to Parliament dealing with the constitution of the church in New Zealand.
