HOCKEY CLUB’S DANCE [ Special “Chronicle” Service. ] A very enjoyable dance was held in the Coronation Hall on Friday last, under the auspices of the newly formed hockey club. In spite of a very wintry evening, the dance was well patronised, all parts of the district being represented. Alusic was supplied by Airs H. Down, Jhr., Misses L. Down, N. Swainson, L. Hartley, Al. Iwikau, B. Potaka and Air T. Hartley. During the evening songs were rendered by Mr H. Down, Jnr., and Air T. Hartley. Thanks are due to the following ladies who dispensed a bountiful supper. Alesdames G. E. Swainson, Geo. Harvey, W. Wills, N. Signal and J. Drummond, assisted by the hockey girls. Air H. Down, Jnr,, made an efficient AI.C.
