ST. JOHN’S CHURCH r [ Special "Chronicle” Service. ] The annual meeting of parishioners of St. John’s Church was held on Alonday night. The Vicar appointed Air W. S. Baird as his warden and Air C. Guilder was appointed peoples’ wardenThe following were elected as vc> trymen for the ensuing year: Alcssrw W. R. Bagge, Ivan Carter, J. P. Cottier, R. Hay, E. O. Lightband, A. Alurdie, B. H. Richardson. Air Ivan Carter was appointed one of the vicarage trustees in place of J. A. Butler. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Air J. Jones for auditing the church books. The Vicar’s report, fully covering the year’s activities throughout the parish, was adopted. JUNCTION FOOTBALL CLUB A meeting of the management committee of the Junction Football Club was held on Monday evening, there being present: Messrs Carroll (cliair), Fry, Downes, Farr and Barker (hon. secretary). Air Carroll reported that he had received a verbal communication from the Old Boys Club in Taihape that they were desirous of playing the Junction team at Junction on Saturday next. —The challenge was accepted and arrangements made for the game, also the entertaining of the visitors and local players after the match. It was reported that the Rochfort Park playing area had been damaged in places by the driving of pegs, etc., into the ground on the occasion of the recent visit of a circus. The ground had not since been put in order, but arrangements were made to have the grounds attended to.
