WANGANUI TEACHERS

REFRESHER CLASSES LARGE NUMBERS EXPECTED. The Wanganui Education Board, on the recommendation of Mr Lambourne, senior inspector has decided to hold refresher courses for teachers during the week commencing May 14. The course will provide instruction in many subjects. Mr J. Watkins will give a course of instruction in drawing and Mr E. Douglas Taylor, supervisor of musical education, will deliver a series of lectures on the teaching of music in schools. Mr Roydhouse will give lectures on physical development and Mr J. B. Hogg will be in charge of the agricultural classes. Dr. Elizabeth Gunu will also deliver addresses. The Education Department has agreed to provide free transit for teachers Jiving out of Wanganui, and it is expected that a large number will attend.
