FOOTBALL CLUB JUNCTION CLUB [ Special “ Chronicle ” Mcrvieo ] The annual general meeting of thet Ohakune Junction Football Club was held last week at the Egmont Hotel. It was decided: to set aside £6 for payment of car hire. The following officers were appointed for the ensuing year: Patron, Air V. Wilkie; president, Air Foster; vice-pre-sidents, Messrs A. Larsen, J. Hauler, A. Webb, AV. 11. Paynter, W. Bradcock, L. Cronin, J. Graham, AV. BradAV. L. Jones. AV. Peek, snr., D. Campbell, P. AVood, AV. Alarshall, Mrs Young, Al. Coffee, AV. H. Thomas, F. Carroll, Air and Airs Gibbs, J. AVatson (Pokuku), H. Curran, AV. Alahony. A. J. Young, S. Herbert, L. Taylor, C. Lane, J. P. AVebb, F. Clemett, G. A. Buckley, J. Hutchinson, C. Kisker; secretary. Air Baker; treasurer, Mr A. Brown; club captain, Air L. Gawn; coach, Air E. Foster. Alessrs T. Clemett an/l D. Gomlon wore appointed team managers. “•Messrs Barker, Clemett, Hayes and Wilkie were appointed delegates. The management committee will consist of Alessrs T. Jenkins, Bradcock, Clemett, C. Gordon, Downes and A. Peck. The following were appointed selectors: Seniors, Mr Clemett with field captain; juniors, Air Bradcock. The delegates to the Sub-Union were instructed, to support the proposal that charity matches bo played at the enr of the season, after competition cup and challenge shield matches. It was decided to hold the first meeting of the management committee on Monday. FOOTBALL JOTTINGS There is a possibility of a fourth grade team being instituted in football this season. The matter is to be fiualisaJ; by the Ruapehu Sub-Uinon on Alarch 11. If a fourth grade is established it will give many boys a chance of playing in a sphere suiter! to their age and weight. Tiio public may look forward to some good football during the coming season. Ohakune has 82 playing members amongst which are some good men. The Junction club has a good membership and is in a position ta field one of the best senior teams the club has ever had.
For the competitions Ohakune are entering four teams, comprising one senior, one junior and two third gradjc; United are entering three teams, senion, junior and third; Raetihi are entering three, senior, junior and third; Junction are entering two, senior and junior and Athletic are entering two teams, senior and junior.
