TO-DAY’S TROTTING

THE WANGANUI MEETING PROSPECTS DISCUSSED GOOD FIELDS AGAIN. With fine weather, the second day’s; events of the Wanganui Trotting Club • should be watched by a record crowd to-day, when the meeting concludes. Thursday ’s racing was exceptionally interesting and some exciting finishes were witnessed, and with the opening day’s running to guide him the handicapper should be able to provide even keener sport to-day. The acceptances for to day are very good and the track fs in first-class order. A big crowd ?s expected to be present for the IMPROVERS’ HANDICAP. (Of 80 sovs; 1% miles; 3.48 class.)

The fourteen acceptors include some; horses that showed good form on; Thursday. Of the eleven on the limit Great Ballin is sure to have good support ad Louie Dillon will have friends. Warplane will also receive his share if he is started. The second event carded is the BOROUGH HANDICAP. (Of 85 sots; 1U miles; 3.54 class.)

Mokanna is sure to bp well hacked after the first day's success, and so will Lady Ena. Rangitiro is ‘due for a win. and Nelson’s Bequest should bp sought after among the front division. Twelve are engaged in SUBURBAN HANDICAP.

Nellie Parsons earned many friends on Thursday, but Richmond Lass will have good support, and Lena Chimes will be in the picture. The big race of the day is the LIVERPOOL HANDICAP.

Explosion, though he disappointed his supporters on the opening day, will claim attention, and many will look for High Sea to win again. Tui Wildwood and Kevin Brae are others that may be well fancied. The saddle event comes next. It is the STEWARDS’ HANDICAP. (Of 100 sovs; one mils; 2.25 cli-rt.)

Of the ten, Abrudbanya should be well fancied, depending, of course, largely on whether she has a start previously, and if so, how she performs. Electric Gold and Clive Bell will also have friends. The smallest field of the day will line up for the BALLANCE HANDICAP. (Of 100 sovs; two miles; 5.4 class.) Tui Bells .. .. 12 Call Boy .. .. 48 Rebecca . . .. 24 The Tiger .... 96 Colonel Thorpe 48 Call Boy is sure to be well backed, and Rebecca is another that will find considerable support. An important event is the WANGANUI STA KES HANDICAP

Ce Advaneeur is well placed but Fliton and Louisiana are horses that will not be far away at the post. Investors will have a hard job to pick the winner of the FAREWELL. HANDICAP. (Of 100 sovs; one mile; 2.22 class.)

The public are sure not to let Admiral Rock go out backed so meagerly as he was on Thursdav and Lottie Advance will claim a good measure of support. Master Cute may be dangerous, and Van Cap be expected to put up a good performance.
