MR. POLSON’S VIEWS POLITICAL RUMOURS DENIED. [ Per Association. ] Al ASTERTON, March 30. Mr W. J. Polson addressed an audience of about 500 town and country people here this evening. He spoJce on the ’lnes of previous addresses, contending ttiat the country was borrowing far too much, and that what it needed was more, settlement and revenue from production. In a brief reference to politics, he expressed the emphatic opinion that the Farmers’ Union should keep clear of party politics. At another stage he said that he had formed no decision as to what he would do individually in regard to politics. Tnere was no justification for the current rumours that be intended to stand for this or that seat, as he had made no statement to anyone of his intentions.
