ASHHURST SALE. Dalgety and Co. report; There was a large entry of sheep and cattle at the Ashhurst sale on Wednesday last. There was keen demand for all classes and we report having made a total clearance under the hammer at prices satisfactory to vendors. Quotations: Four and 5-year owes, 17s 9d; low conditioned 5-year ewes, 15s 4d; cull ewes, 8s 4d to Ils 6d; small 2 and 4-tooth ewes, 24s 2d; woolly b.f. rape lambs, 16s 4d; small ewe lambs, 15s; cull lambs 9s 6d to 10s 7d; small w z+ hei lambs, 13s to 14s; fat and forward 2-tooth wethers, 24s lOd; 2 and 4-tooth wethers, 22s 6d; 2-tooth Romney rams, 2| to 42 guineas; Southdown rams, 6£ guineas; aged Romney rams, 10s to 20s; light fat cows. £4 Is to £4 15s;; fat jcows, £5 12s 6d; 15-month.s Tam worth boars, £2 15s. FEILDING SALE. . Levin and Co. report: At Feilding on Friday we had a fair yarding of both sheep and cattle. There was good competition for all classes at auction, and we had a total clearance at late rates.
