RESULTS NOT DISCLOSED (A. P. A.-Sun) LONDON, March 21. The Hon. W. C. Bridgeman (First Lord of the Admiralty) told Mr Kenworthy (Lab) in the House of Commons, that experiments were being carried out on a scale with models in tanks to test bombs from aircraft designed to explode under water on the hull of ships. American experiments were also being watched. It was not in the public interest to reveal the results. Mr Kenworthy: “Are you aware that the American experiments have shown that large bombs from aircraft could disable and sink the most modern ships? J* e experiments with models in tanks sufficient? Mr Bridgeman replied: “AH our experiments are not made with models in tanks.”
