THE SEE ADLER NEVER TOOK A LIFE (A. & N.Z.) LONDON, Feb. 28. Count von Luckncr’s daring exploits in the See Adler are picturesquely toki. in “The Sea Devil,” published to-day. The ship ran through the British blockade in the course of a storm and emerged successfully from a search, one of the crow, bewigged, passing as the skipper’s wife. Ranging the South Pacific and Atlantic she scuttled £59,000,000 worth of shipping. During 1917 she sank 14 English, French, Canadian and American vessels Despite the havoc she gained a reputation of never having taken a human life.
She was over.tually wrecked on Mopeilia Island by a tidal wave and captured.
