MEMORIAL UNVEILED
EX-KAISER’S “UHLANS” A MESSAGE FROM WILHELM. BERLIN, Nov. 22. The tireless efforts of William 11. to reassert himself in Germany are sometimes rewarded- by superficial success. For tho unveiling at Hanover of tne war memorial to the former King's Uhlans he sent a wreath and the following telegram: “On the occasion of to-day’s unveiling of the memorial for the fallen comrades of my King’s Uhlan Regiment, I think with gratitude of the brave men who, true to their colour oath, gave their lives for king and country. Appreciation of this message was shown by tho cheers for the “illustrious chief” of the regiment. Tho dron of the Reichswehr Regiment, No. 13, whose charge it is to uphold the traditions of the King’s Uhlans, and also many active officers of other units were present at the ceremonies, a portion of which, including cheers for the ex-Kaiser, took place in the yard or the barracks at present in use.
