DEFALCATIONS ALLEGED EMPLOYEE BEFORE COURT [ Per Press Association. ] AUCKLAND, Dec. 1. Defalcations amounting to £lOOO were, alleged in the police court to-day, when an ernployeein the Customs Department in Auckland was charged with stealing £lO 12s Bd, the property of the Department. Chief Detective Cummings asked for a remand until December 15. Accused, who had been arrested tne previous day, is married and has tw T o children. He has been suspended from his employment. Chief Detective Commings said that a total amount of £lOOO was involved. The Magistrate remanded accused, and an application for the suppression of accused’s name was granted, Bail was fixed at £3OO.
