A SETTLER’S DEATH COMPENSATION AWARDED [ Per Press Association. 1 NEW PLYMOUTH, Dec. 1. The death of John Wilson, a farmer of Ratapiko, who was eletrocuted some time ago by contact with a live wire falling on a fence of his property, resulted in a claim being brought against the Taranaki Power Board for damages. Claimant alleged negligence in the construction and control of lines, and a settlement was confirmed in the Supreme Court to-day, by which the Board agrees to pay £1,400 and £lOO costs.
