SPRING SHOW
MANY ATTRACTIONS S ATISF ACTOR VENTRIES RECEIVED Preparations for the Wanganui Agricultural Association’s spring show to-morrow and Thursday are wtfll under way and the precincts of the race* course now impress as a veritable hive of industry. The home industry shed presents a much improved appearance after it»» general clean up and should this year be attractive both to exhibitors ancr visitors. Entries this year total 3407, which must be considered very satisfactory. Generally, the stock entries are good, both in quality anrl number, the sheep showing an increase of 68. The needlework section will bo a?!* strong as that at any other show in New Zealand and entries have coifle from all over the Dominion. The attractions at the show will be numerous, and will include several innovations. The children will be delighted with two merry-go-rounds, and there are many other side-shows. , A special programme of music will be rendered on Thursday (People’s Day) by the Queen Alexandra’s Band, linger the baton of Captain G. Buckley. Townspeople are reminded of the importance of the show to the district generally and it is hoped that ail classes of the community wiil give liberal patronage.
