WOOL PRODUCTION

NEW SOUTH WALES FIGURES (A. & N.Z.) SYDNEY, Aug. 12. According to the estimate of the Government statistician, 495,829,000 pounds of greasy wool were produced in New South Wales during the year ended June 30.

This is 91,165,000 pounds or 224 per cent, greater than the previous recond, total reached in 1911.

The value of this year’s yield is estimated at £35.237,000 which is £714,000 less than the record' valuation realised in 1924-25- The sheep and lambs shorn numbered 51,880,000.
