WANGANUI CLUB SATURDAY’S MEDAL MATCH After a bad morning Saturday afternoon turned out quite good weather for golf, although the Belmont course was heavy. The best scores in the Wanganui Golf Club’s A and B grades were both 77, being returned by A. O. Russell and P. Graham respectively. Detailed results are:— A Grade.

WILSON CUP WANGANUI NARROWLY DEFEATED. A team from Wanganui made the journey to Napier on Saturday to endeavour to wrest the Wilson Cup from the Napier Club. However, the visitors were defeated by the narrow margin of one game, losing six and winning five, while one was halved. Results were as follows,' Napier being mentioned first: — Kapi Tarcha beat J. Goss. Cross beat U. G. Williams. Gonville Saunders lost to Imlay Saunders. Fryer beat J. Harold. Morris lost to L. B. Rhodes. Pharazyn lost to J. S. Harrison. Budd lost to R. L. McNiven. John Tareha beat O’Callaghan. Smith beat F. C. Hutchison. Lowry lost to F. G. Bcavcn. Davis beat F. S. Parkes. Kettle halved with Meldrum.
