DAIRY COMPANY The balance sheets for the past season are out and the annual meeting will be held on Saturday, this being the 29th annual meeting. The total amount of butter made during the past season was 167 tons, 2461b5, this having been disposer] of as follows: —Wholesale exported, 158,424 lbs., suppliers, 11,736A1b5., staff 2681 lbs. The company has so far paid out to suppliers 1/2.795 per lbs of but-ter-fat and hopes to be able to pay a further bonus of £d per lb. subject to a surplus from the Control Board. The factory manager (Mr L. AT. Rogers) succeeded in winning second prize in the New Zealand championship at Palmerston North Winter Show and also second in the New Zealand championship at Auckland Winter Show. BULB SHOW The second annual bulb show is being organised and this year the funds are to be in aid of the local hall fund. Air J. Morgan has been elected secretary and Mr H. Haythorne presi-ri-ent- The show will be held in October.
