WAITOTARA

FOOTBALL. [ Special “ Chronicle ” Service. ] A very interesting football match between Waitotara and Orangimea School boys took place on the Domain on Saturday, Waitotara winning by 15 to 6. There was a very fair attendance of spectators. Mr Brown was referee. Great credit is due to the Orangimea boys making such a long journey through the muddy roads. They were in charge of Mr McMurray, their teacher. GENERAL NEWS. Springtime is here again. Lambs arc very plentiful and the whitebait have made their appearance. The clematis is in full bloom and signs are for an early spring. A sharp shock of earthquake was felt here at 3.49 a.m. on Sunday morning.
