NARROW ESCAPE
ROTORUA MOTOR COLLISION ROTORUA. Aug. 8. A collision between a motor-cycle ridden by P. Maloney and a service car driven by William Gilbertson, at the of Amoh-v. and Fenton ■mreets resulted in Maloney being sent to hospital with a broken leg. He was carried some distance by the car and had a narrow escape. BURGLARS’ GOOD HAUL DRAPERY SHOP THEFTS CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 8. Over the week-end thieves entered the premises of Graham, Wilson and Smellie, drapers of High Street, and stole a large quantity of goods valued at £2OO.
