COURSING

CUNNING DOGS CLEVERNESS OF GREYHOUNDS CHASING MECHANICAL HARE SYDNEY, June. 14. The Sydney Morning Herald, referring to mechanical hare coursing says: ‘ 1 Many »dogs are developing great cunning in cutting corners cleverly and the race is not always to the fastest.” It cites a case where a leading dog was following the course of the hare and the two others cut a corner and beat him, and adds: “Under the rules of coursing neither dog should have scored a point for this cleverness.”
