HOCKEY CLUB. [ Special “ Chronicle ” Service. ] At Apiti on Wednesday the Rangiwahia hockey eleven played Apiti, the match being the first game in the second round for the Rose Bowl. The game resulted in a draw, the score being one all. The goal for the home team was scored by M. Cummerfield and for the visitors by M. Ireland. Messrs A. J. Tompkins and D. On Thursday next there is being held in Taihape an eleven-a-sidc tournament and this club has entered a team. For the seven-a-side tournament at Kiwitea on .Tune 22 the club is entering two teams —an A and a B. RIFLE CLUB. i The annual competition shoot was 'held on the local range. This shoot has ‘been held for many years and there was : a large attendance. Miss A. Carey won the prize for the ladies shoot and Miss D. McKenzie took second place. J The cup, which is won by the aggregate : shoot at the 300, 500 and 600yds range, was won by D. McGregor ,Tnr., with 100 points, and the cup for the aggregate at the 300 and 500yds ranges was won |by W. Hyde with 69 points. The results of the shooting was as follows,
