MILLIONS OF SHEEP DIE SERIOUS SITUATION IN QUEENSLAND. (A. & N.Z.) BRISBANE. June 10. Central and Western Queensland are in the grip of a drought which is said to be the most severe in the history of the State. The drought in some places has entered upon its third year, and there is little hope of amelioration before November or December, when the monsoonal rains may fall. Tho areas involved comprise the greater part of Queensland’s sheepraising country. Millions of sheep are being hand-fed and millions have died.
