IMPERIAL CONFERENCE
INFORMATION WANTED QUESTION IN HOUSE OF COMMONS. (A.&N.Z.) LONDON, June 2. In the House of Commons, Sir John Marriott (Con.) again raised the desirableness of discussing the Imperial Conference decisions and asked: “Has Britain abandoned her claim to control or superior authority?” Mr. Winston Churchill answered that one reason why there was no discussion was that the Conference was in general agreement on the decesions, but be agreed that if they were taken in silence they might be liable to misunderstanding in other parts of the Empire. Personally he welcomed the ' Liberal whip’s offer to co-operate in allocating a day for the debate. The House adjourned till June 13.
